Project Description
Dmochii
Branding | Visual Identity | Print | Web
Dmochii is an art and merch shop that sells at conventions and online. Founded and run by one person as a side gig, the business had a modest start for the first five years of its existence. However in 2021, with the interest in art and media conventions on the rise, Dmochii saw this as a time ripe for growth with a more deliberate approach to their marketing and presentation.
We helped Dmochii identify their goals, target audiences, and competitors. Through several in-depth discussion, we found that products that speak to nostalgia and the “inner-child” of our customers would likely be the most successful. This also inspired the new visual identity developed for Dmochii.
A bunny, being a cute animal that Dmochii is fond of, was adopted as the mascot and incorporated into the new logo and business cards. This immediately appealed to Dmochii’s customers – who happily took, complemented, and occasionally even offered to buy the cards!
Online store.
As Dmochii changed their products to align with the new direction, we designed new packaging. In addition, we created several mockups of the products to display on social media and on a new online store that we designed and developed.
These changes helped to drastically improve Dmochii’s physical and online presence. This, coupled with the product and store setup changes that Dmochii made after our discussions, led to significant growth for the merch shop.
In the first 18 months of working together, Dmochii saw an average 350% increase in profits from each event they sold at.
